What could add to the cost?
- Decking replacement — Rotted or water-damaged plywood needs to be swapped out. Common in older Niagara homes after years of ice dam exposure.
- Multiple layers — If your roof has two layers of shingles, both must come off. More labour and disposal.
- Skylight work — Re-flashing or replacing skylights during a re-roof is smart but adds cost.
