Full tear-off and replacement of a 25-year-old asphalt shingle roof on a two-storey home in the Glenridge neighbourhood.
The Challenge
The existing roof had multiple layers of shingles, extensive decking rot along the eaves, and inadequate attic ventilation causing ice dam issues every winter.
Our Solution
We stripped both layers down to the decking, replaced 14 sheets of rotted plywood, installed new ice and water shield along all eaves and valleys, upgraded the ridge vent system, and installed IKO Cambridge architectural shingles with a 50-year limited warranty.
The Result
The homeowners went through their first Niagara winter with zero ice dam issues. The new ventilation system reduced attic moisture and the curb appeal of the home improved dramatically.
